Large Monitors

When we designed BigScreenLive we optimized it for a 17 inch or larger screen. This is because most new computers now come with a larger screen. But it's also because we found that we needed a larger screen size to allow room for the bigger, easy-to-use, simple buttons and controls in the BigScreenLive interface. When we watched seniors using smaller screens, we found it was too hard for them.

If your senior has an older PC, you may need to get a larger monitor for it to run BigScreenLive properly. We recommend you get a screen that is at least 17 inches in size. It will need to be able to display at least 1280 x 800 pixels, but ideally it will support 1280 x 1024 pixels. Most 17 inch screens will easily support these resolutions.
