How it works - Touch screens
We designed BigScreenLive to be really easy to navigate and use with a minimum of mouse interaction. You’ll notice you don’t have to scroll in many places on BigScreenLive and there are no ‘pull down’ widgets in our interface. We also make everything you need to ‘click’ big and easy to target with your mouse. So, BigScreenLive is easy for senior ‘mouse novices’ to use
But we actually went further than this - we designed BigScreenLive to work really well with a touch screen. You can get around BigScreenLive without using the mouse - about the only time you need it is if you are making text edit changes to an email. As a result BigScreenLive is easy to use for people who aren’t used to a mouse, or who have trouble using one due to arthritis or muscle control challenges.
If your senior has an existing PC, you can add a touchscreen to it - we offer two different touch screens which we’ve tested with our product, click here to see the touch screens in our webstore. If you’re looking to purchase a new computer, we suggest you look at the Hewlett-Packard TouchSmart which is an ‘all-in-one’ computer that already has a touchscreen built in, click here to see the HP TouchSmart in our webstore.
A touchscreen and BigScreenLive combine to make a easy-to-use senior computer.
